NNEB [National Nursery, Examination Board] a successful result in a 2 year collage course.

NVQ, [National Vocational, Qualification] a one year college course.

CCE, [Certificate Childcare, Education] one year college course.

ADCE [Advanced, Diploma, Childcare Education] this is also a one year college course.

These are some of the qualifications our nannies hold.
However an experienced nanny will not have a qualification but they will have worked with children as a nanny for a number of years.

NANNIES DUTIES
A nanny's duties would be sole charge of the child[ren] in the child[ren's] home, this would Include, taking care of all nursery duties laundry, preparation of the child[ren's] meals, Bathing, cleaning the nursery, and stimulating the child's mind and imagination. Working hours for a full time nanny is normally Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, hours can vary from 8 to 11 hours per day.

PARENT HELP
Parent help is someone working along side the mother/father in helping him/her with the child[ren] or babies. Parent help could also be sole charge of children. Their duties are helping with bathing, laundry, cleaning, preparation of meals. Working hours for full time parent help would be 5 days a week, hours from 8 to 10 hours per day.

AU PAIRS
An au pair is someone from another country coming to work in England. They may have qualifications or experience in their country. Au pairs duties will include taking care of the child[ren], and may include some light house work. Working hours for an au pair is 25 hours per week an au pair cares for children from a year old and above, and is not recommended to take sole charge care of babies under a year old. An au pairs salary can start from £55 per week live in, an au pair will live as part of the family and will care for the children as a big sister, they also baby sit two nights a week.

BABY SITTERS
Babysitters only work temporary and part time. This can include evening babysitting, afternoon, or mornings.

 

DOMESTIC STAFF

Domestic staff will be responsibly for all cleaning duties, Domestic staff do not take care of children their duties are solely cleaning duties, hours can be from 3 to 8 hours per day.
